Namewee arrested on arrival at KLIA

Rapper Wee Meng Chee, better known as Namewee, was arrested upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport today.

This was confirmed by George Town district police chief Faridalathrash Wahid, according to The Star Online.

Faridalathrash was quoted as saying that the 33-year-old artist will be transported to Penang for further investigations.

Namewee was reportedly arrested at 3.30pm. He is expected to be remanded tomorrow.
