Man found dead in sedan at Tg Aru

KOTA KINABALU - A 42-year old man was found dead in a four-door sedan at a secluded area, Tanjung Aru Beach 2, here, on Friday.

City Police Chief ACP M. Chandra said Liew Ka Ket (pic), 42, was found sitting in his car locked with a steaming burning charcoal in a barbeque grill.

"Initial investigation showed that two police officers were patrolling around Tanjung Aru Beach 2 when they found a suspicious black four-door sedan.

"They attempted to access the locked door as they saw it filling with smoke along with an unconscious driver.

"The Fire and Rescue Department broke the rear left passenger window, allowing them to reach the driver and found several charcoal still burning," he said.

Chandra said no physical injuries were found on the body and no weapon was found at the scene.

The body was sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 for post mortem and the case has been classified as sudden death.
